BirdLife Cyprus is a registered non-governmental organization that was formed in February 2003 through the merger of two Cyprus Ornithological Societies (COS 1957 and COS 1970). The aim of the BC is to promote the protection of the birds of Cyprus and their habitats, and to enable the citizens of Cyprus and other countries to play their part in achieving that goal.
