Green Balkans Federation
The Green Balkans Federation of Nature Conservation was established in 1989. Now it is one of Bulgaria's biggest and most active nature conservation organizations. The main priorities of Green Balkans' activity include protection and conservation of rare and threatened species and their habitats, approximation of Bulgaria's nature-conservation legislation to the european one, development of well-grounded proposals for the designation of protected areas, implementation of scientific and research expeditions and public campaigns, and work with target groups and volunteers. Birds of Prey Protection Foundation "Griffon Vulture" – Nova Varos, Serbia
Foundation for Protection of Birds of Prey “Griffon Vulture” - Nova Varos was founded in 1994 as an association of citizens and legal subjects. The Foundation is a non-governmental and non-profit organization with around 150 members. The goal of the Foundation is protection of endangered species and their habitats in the area of gorge of river Uvac and the broader vicinity. The activities of the Foundation were so far mostly focused on programs of protection, additional feeding and monitoring of Griffon Vultures.

Natura, Center for Natural Resources
NGO “Natura” was founded in 1992 under the name “Fund for Protection of Griffon Vulture 'Gyps fulvus'”. The goal of this organization was protection of Griffon Vulture in Serbia. Since 1995 the organization is the caretaker of Special Nature Reserve “Gorge of River Tresnjica” which includes one of last and most threatened colonies of Griffon Vulture in Serbia.
 
"Natura Balkanika" Nature Society
"Natura Balkanika" Nature Society is a non-partisan, non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in year 2000 and dedicated to support rural revival, protection and promotion of the natural and cultural values of South East Serbia (Stara Planina Mt. and Gornje Ponishavlje region). Their activities are directed towards environmentally friendly agriculture practices, conservation of domestic animal genetic resources, natural biodiversity and local cultural heritage integrated in sustainable rural development concepts, promoting participatory approach and bottom-up initiative.
