Preparation for carrying out of large-scale conservation activities for the Egyptian vulture (Neophron percnopterus): research of newly identified threatening factors, colour ringing, diet study and monitoring of the population in North Bulgaria

    2009

    1. Goal of the Project
To provide baseline information for guidance of future large-scale species conservation measures
    2. Objectives
Objective 1: To estimate the severity of the intoxication problems, affecting the juveniles before fledging
Objective 2: To ensure execution of precise estimation of the survival rate in the near future
Objective 3: To record the productivity and follow the limiting factors of the population
Objective 4: To increase the knowledge on the diet and foraging habits of the species in regard to the possible poisoning sources
