1. Goal of the Project
The principal objective of the Project Vultures on the Crimean Peninsula remains the investigation of the current status of the vulture populations in the Crimea and targeting the measures that must be taken to ensure the effective conservation and protection of these rare birds.
2. Objectives
Objective 1: Collecting the data on numbers and biology of vultures in the Crimea, ascertaining their spatial and seasonal distributions
Objective 2: Revealing the basic threats and limiting factors
Objective 3: Providing environmental education in the region
Objective 4: Learning the existing Ukrainian and international expertise in the recovery and protection of scavenging birds of prey.
